Setelah meraih kesuksesan dengan mendominasi pasar Compact SUV di Indonesia, baru-baru ini Honda HR-V mulai diperkenalkan di pasar Eropa. Padahal produk ini sudah setahun meramaikan kompetisi di kelas SUV kompak 5 penumpang. Desain unik gabungan macho dan feminin disinyalir sebagai rahasia kekuatan Honda HR-V yang disukai pria dan wanita.
Di Inggris Honda HR-V akan dibekali dua jenis mesin, yakni i-DTEC 120 dk 1.600 (diesel) dan i-VTEC 130 dk 1.500 cc (bensin). Masing-masing 4 silinder, dan sudah masuk kategori emisi Euro 6. Diesel bertransmisi manual 6-speed sedangkan mesin bensin bertransmisi manual 6-speed dan CVT.
Pada saat pengujian oleh pabrik, mereka mengklaim bahwa mesin HR-V bensin mampu meraih kecepatan 0-100 km/jam dalam waktu 10,7 detik (manual) dan 11,2 detik (CVT). Konsumsi BBM standar Eropa sendiri mencapai 19 km/l untuk tipe CVT.
Dengan torsi 300 Nm dan tenaga 120 dk, HR-V diesel mampu berakselerasi 0-100 km/jam dalam waktu 10,0 detik. Lebih cepat dari versi bensin.
Di sana, HR-V juga lebih komplet. Ia mempunyai fitur keselamatan tambahan seperti forward collision warning, intelligent speed limiter, lane departure warning, high beam support system.
